Thinking about your child's first school experience is an exciting time! And also...a bit confusing and overwhelming.

Come to hear from five local preschools and preschool-alternatives to gain more understanding about how it all works, and what the best school fit for your family might be.

Confirmed schools include Barrow Street Nursery, Chelsea Day School, Corlears, Kids at Work, and The Montessori Schools.

The event is virtual and a recording will be sent to active members of West Village Parents.

Participating Schools include:

Corlears School is a nonprofit, independent, progressive elementary school located in Chelsea, New York. We provide children from toddlers through fifth grade with the foundation they need to gain confidence and fall in love with learning. In our five decades of experience, we’ve come to understand that these early years are the most crucial formative years for every child. We specialize in guiding this age group because we believe the start of your child’s academic life should be nothing short of exceptional.  https://www.corlearsschool.org

Chelsea Day School is a safe, caring, diverse community that comes together around our children. Parents partner with us to support each child’s growth and development. Our teachers are skilled Early Childhood Educators who are informed by years of education and experience, and who are guided by a genuine love of their work. Chelsea Day School values intellect, creativity and community. We are committed to building in our children a strong foundation of curiosity, kindness, individual expression and the intrinsic pleasure of learning.https://www.chelseadayschool.org

We are deeply committed to the proven principles of The Montessori Method and we are proud to bring an outstanding group of teachers, an innovative learning philosophy and state-of-the-art tools to SoHo and the Flatiron District. We serve children 18 months- 6 years-old in SoHo and Two- 6 years-old at Flatiron. West Village Parents has been supporting the downtown parenting community for over 14 years, growing entirely by word-of-mouth. With a calendar featuring free local events, local resource listings of doctors, preschools, and daycares, and active message board/email digests where members trade information about local available nannies and buy/sell baby and child items, we help create your parenting village in the Village and surrounding neighborhoods. Over 3000 families have been West Village Parents members, coming from Chelsea, Soho, and all over the Village.
